The power loss through Screens do Brazil filters can be calculated by using the chart on your right hand side that shows p as a flow rate function and the percentage of open area ( to water at 33º).That represents a power loss through the filter surface that does not include current flow loss through the inside diameter of cylinder. These losses can be calculated using the conventional power loss through a tube. The flow rate per square feet of the surface of the cylindrical filter can be calculated by the combination.
